I was appointed to the office of Director of Public Prosecutions on March 6, 2018. Brendan Kissane QC was appointed Chief Crown Prosecutor on the same day.

We have both had a very busy few months, but are enjoying our roles and appreciate all the support that has been provided to us, particularly the support of Solicitor for Public Prosecutions John Cain who has made the transition an easy one for us.

Our modernisation agenda is continuing with the adoption of innovative technology high on our list of priorities. We are very pleased with the progress we have made with electronic trials over the past 12 months.

Prosecutors are becoming much more familiar with the technology, the courts are seeing the benefits and efficiency gains and defence are demonstrating a willingness to work with us. We are very grateful for the support we are receiving.
