Kristie Churchill and David Glynn appointed Senior Counsel

On behalf of the Office of Public Prosecutions, Director Brendan Kissane KC, Chief Crown Prosecutor Diana Piekusis KC and Solicitor for Prosecutions Abbey Hogan congratulate Senior Crown Prosecutors Kristie Churchill and David Glynn on their appointments to Senior Counsel.

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria announced the appointments today, Wednesday 29 October 2025.

Ms Churchill was appointed Crown Prosecutor in 2018 and Senior Crown Prosecutor in 2025. Ms Churchill commenced at the Victorian Bar in 2009 and has appeared in many complex criminal matters over the years. 

Mr Glynn was appointed Crown Prosecutor in 2019 and Senior Crown Prosecutor in 2025. Mr Glynn commenced the Victorian Bar in 2001 and has extensive experience in serious criminal trials and appeals. 

Appointments to Senior Counsel recognise a legal practitioner’s skill, integrity, independence and standing. Those appointed are regarded as leaders in their field and earn this distinction through diligent service to the administration of justice.

We congratulate Ms Churchill and Mr Glynn on their significant achievements.
