New Crown Prosecutor Appointed

Erin Ramsay has been appointed as a new OPP Crown Prosecutor.

The Director of Public Prosecutions Kerri Judd QC and Chief Crown Prosecutor Brendan Kissane QC welcomed the appointment.

“I congratulate Ms Ramsay on her appointment. Her experience and knowledge of Criminal Law will be of ongoing benefit to Crown Prosecutors’ Chambers. I look forward to her career developing further in this new role,” Mr Kissane said.

She conducted her first jury trial in 2011 and since then has appeared in many trials in the County Court for both prosecution and defence.

Ms Ramsay comes to Prosecutor’s Chambers after a number of years as a Senior Public Defender at Victoria Legal Aid, having started her legal career in 2006 and having signed the Victorian Bar Roll in 2009.
